Halo Infinite Won’t “Make or Break” the Franchise, Says Xbox Head Phil Spencer

Halo Infinite has been somewhat of a worrisome project for long-time Halo fans due to the polarizing ways in which 343 Industries has taken the franchise and how bland the FPS looked when Microsoft initially revealed its first campaign gameplay footage last summer. Some of the biggest pessimists even believe that it could be a flop that spells the end of the franchise, but Xbox head Phil Spencer seems quite assured that Halo isn’t going anywhere. In an interview with IGN, Spencer stated that he doesn’t consider Halo Infinite to be a “make or break” title and believes that the franchise will be around “10 years from now” even if 343 Industries’ latest attempt might not be entirely well received. Originally planned as an Xbox Series X|S launch title for 2020, Halo Infinite is slated for release this holiday.
