Hideo Kojima has reportedly been in discussions with Microsoft in recent months over the possibility of developing and releasing his next project exclusively on the Xbox platform. There appears to be some legitimate substance to those rumors, as VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb has now confirmed that both companies have signed a letter of intent for hashing out a publishing agreement for a new Xbox game. Little is known about what Kojima’s planned epic might be, but it will likely capitalize on Microsoft’s cutting-edge cloud technology based on his rumored and fleeting collaboration with Google’s cloud gaming service, Stadia, which gutted its gaming development ambitions earlier this year.
