Hitman 3 Will Be Optimized for Multi-Core CPUs and Include Ray Tracing

IO Interactive has revealed that it has entered into a partnership with Intel to improve the PC performance of its upcoming stealth-assassin title, Hitman 3. We’re not sure if that means Agent 47’s latest adventure will look and play best on Core processors, but the developer does insinuate that it’ll take full advantage of multi-core CPUs.



“These optimizations include enhancing HITMAN 3 for PC players with 8+ core CPUs, for example you’ll be able to spot more crowds in Dubai or experience more complex destructibility in Dartmoor,” IO Interactive wrote.



IO Interactive also revealed that Hitman 3 would feature Variable Rate Shading (VRS), as well as ray tracing. This means that the game’s international destinations and Agent 47’s shiny, bald head should...

Funny how in 2020 we are still touting the fact that a game will be multicore aware.
Unfortunately developing for multi core hasn't gotten significantly easier. Unless you license an engine that is already optimized for it.
