Hong Kong’s Customs and Excise Department has seized a massive batch of NVIDIA’s new mining-focused GPUs, the Cryptocurrency Mining Processor series. According to MyDriver’s brief report, there were a total of 300 units being smuggled, all of which appear to be CMP 30HX models. Hong Kong authorities haven’t confirmed why the cards were seized, but China’s eagerness to ban cryptocurrency mining presumably has something to do with it.
