Horizon Zero Dawn Supports TressFX, Async Compute, and Other Radeon-Exclusive Features

AMD has sent out a press release suggesting that Horizon Zero Dawn’s PC port, which came out yesterday, is best played on Radeon graphics cards. That’s because Guerrilla Games and Virtuos partnered with red team to bring all sorts of neat optimizations and graphics features to the title, such as TressFX and Asynchronous Compute. In fact, Horizon Zero Dawn happens to be the first game to support the FidelityFX Single Pass Downsampler, which provides an RDNA-optimized solution for generating up to 12 MIP levels of a texture.
