It’s no secret that Intel is working on its own graphics cards to challenge the likes of AMD and NVIDIA, but how will they be branded? That question was answered by blue team today in a press release revealing the branding for its upcoming high-performance graphics cards.
Intel’s upcoming high-performance graphics brand is called Intel Arc. As noted by Intel, the brand will cover “software and services, and will span multiple hardware generations, with the first generation, based on the Xe HPG microarchitecture, code-named Alchemist (formerly known as DG2).”
Intel’s press release also confirmed that its future generations of graphics products following Alchemist would be branded with a series of similarly cool-sounding code names. They are Battlemage, Celestial, and Druid.
