I hope these things are cool and earth shattering, but I bet it’s mostly just noise in some mildly relevant academic circles that they are hoping will stir up some shareholder buzz

I mean to be fair that is where most advancements begin. That or some sci-fi author imagines something that inspires actual engineers to create it.

Like food replicators.. eradicate hunger... robot girlfriends... I mean we all know which one will be first.
