DirectX 12 applications are no longer meant to run on the integrated graphics of Intel’s 4th Gen Core “Haswell” processors. This is owed to a new security vulnerability, which prompted Intel to release a new driver (15.40.44.5107) that deprecates the DirectX 12 capabilities of various Iris and HD Graphics controllers. Haswell users who wish to run DirectX 12 applications on their iGPUs will need to downgrade to the 15.40.42.5063 (or older) driver.
