A new epicenter for advanced chipmaking is coming to the Midwest courtesy of Intel.



As explained in a press release shared by the company this morning, Intel will be investing more than $20 billion toward the initial development of two new chip factories in Licking County, Ohio, to help meet the surging demand for advanced semiconductors. This is the largest single private-sector investment in Ohio history.



“Today’s announcement is monumental news for the state of Ohio,” said Ohio Gov.
