Raja Koduri has confirmed that Intel is working hard to figure out a way to get “millions” of its new discrete Arc graphics products into the hands of gamers every year amid the insufferable GPU shortage.

The statement was prompted by an open letter written by one of PC Gamer’s editors, who pointed out that Intel might be the only way out of the current GPU crisis. Addressed to Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger, the letter brings up numerous problems that frustrated enthusiasts are probably already familiar with, such as retailers allegedly raising prices to exploit customers and increasing MSRPs, even for budget models.

I am with you, @pcgamer. This is a huge issue for PC gamers and the industry at large. @IntelGraphics is...

This is an issue not just for gamers but for everyone using GPU computing for benevolent applications.

Time for governments to wake up and ban blockchain technology already.

I'm betting if the US does that, the defense will be first amendment related.

I can’t see the US banning blockchain. I can see them taxing it to death though, or implementing some other really stupid requirements that effectively strangle it.

For example:

The recent proposed changes to rooftop solar tariffs by the CA Public Utilities, for example, would effectively make any mining on-grid extremely hard to be profitable, even if you owned your own solar. Sure, you can just go off-grid, but that costs a lot more than people realize and eats into the ROI just the same.

The central banks of the world will issue their own digital currencies which will be tightly regulated. Bitcoin, and a handful of others, will stick around as alternative assets and maintain their classification as commodities. The rest of the crypto trash will, if not abandoned altogether at the news of a CBDC, remain classified as commodities for those that want to trade them, albeit there will likely be new rules such as there must be some finite amount of them. i’m betting most of the crypto projects will shutter once their dreams of defi don’t manifest in the way they thought.

So is Epic gonna buy me an Intel GPU and give it to me free on EGS? I can't wait!
