Intellivision Amico Delayed Again, Now Releasing by the End of the Year

The Intellivision Amico is a cute little system designed by some of the people responsible for the original ’80s console that features pre-loaded games, two iPod-like controllers with integrated touchscreens and motion controls, and a base that supports wireless automatic charging.



Prospective Amico owners will have to wait a little longer before they can determine whether the system has met its goal of “redefining entertainment,” however, as Intellivision has sent out emails alerting those who have pre-ordered that the console has been delayed yet again due to “unprecedented international component supply and logistics challenges” that are beyond the team’s control.



The Intellivision Amico is now slated for release by the end of the year. When the console does eventually come out, Amico owners will be able to enjoy six premium games that...
