Kenneth Branagh’s Artemis Fowl Adaptation Is Skipping Theaters and Going Straight to Disney+

Disney has announced that Artemis Fowl – a live-action adaptation of Eoin Colfer’s long-running fantasy novels – won’t be coming to cinemas as originally intended due to the coronavirus, which has shuttered theaters across the world. Instead, it’ll debut as an exclusive for the Disney+ streaming service – a first for the studio.

It's weird they are still waiting until May 29th to release it. You'd think releasing it in the next week or so would get them more viewers as most people are still currently stuck at home. If this whole lock down mess has subsided by the end of May people aren't going to want to be spending as much time in front of the TV.
 
Yea I tend to agree and it makes me think we will still be in this come June.
