Konami Shoots Down Rumors of a Silent Hill Reboot and Silent Hills Revival: They’re “Not True”

There has been plenty of talk about a Silent Hill reboot and continuation of Hideo Kojima’s Silent Hill game, Silent Hills, but Konami is setting the record straight on what is supposedly pure conjecture.



A company rep has told Silent Hill and Resident Evil fan site Rely on Horror that its sources were wrong. “We’re aware of all the rumors and reports but can confirm that they are not true. I know it’s not the answer your fans may want to hear,” said the Konami US PR rep.



Konami pointed out that it wasn’t abandoning the franchise, but there may be nothing in development at this time. “It’s not to say we are completely closing the door on the franchise, just not in the way it is being reported,” the rep added.
