Earlier this week, hardware leaker Greymon55 claimed that he possessed an official Intel slide that showed what the company’s upcoming Arc gaming GPUs, code named “Alchemist,” would be competing against from the green and red camps. A user on China’s Baidu forums has now released that slide for everyone to see, and it lines up with Greymon55’s initial suggestion that Intel’s first Arc GPUs will not come close to NVIDIA or AMD’s flagships.
The slide indicates that Intel’s more powerful Alchemist SKUs, which are in the 175- to 225-watt range, will only be as fast as NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3070 and AMD’s Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics cards. Intel fans who had assumed that the first Arc products would line up with the likes of the GeForce RTX 3080 and Radeon RX 6800 XT should lower their expectations accordingly.
