I have no compelling reason to upgrade from my gen 3 NVME drives. At least when it comes to gaming performance there's virtually zero difference between PCIe 3 and 4.

I will tell you I don't feel a tangible difference. But I did upgrade when I redid my system. Mostly for capacity these days 1 TB isn't really great for a gaming focused PC with the size of installs unless you don't mind having to guess if a game will install when you want to tinker with something new.
