LG’s First 42-Inch OLED TV Costs the Same as 48-Inch Model, according to Early Retailer Listing

PC users who are planning to make LG’s first 42-inch OLED TV their next monitor could be paying a higher-than-expected premium for the privilege of being able to squeeze the display technology’s impeccable image quality onto the confines of a desk.



That’s according to an initial listing for the 42C2 that has popped up at a department store company based in the UK called John Lewis & Partners, which has listed LG’s 42-inch OLED TV with a price tag of £1,399.00 (~$1,902). This happens to be the same price that the retailer has listed for the 48C2, a larger version of the display that features a 48-inch OLED panel.



It’s unclear whether the prices might be placeholders or not, but the listings also suggest that LG’s new 42-inch and 48-inch C2 OLED TVs will be available within five and three weeks, respectively...

Wouldn’t surprise me at all. Actually I’ll be surprised if it doesn’t end up being more expensive than the 48 and 55 on the street
 
Hate to say it but it makes sense that higher pixel density costs more.
