LG has begun rolling out a Dolby Vision update for some of its 2021 OLED TVs, which enables them to support Dolby Vision for gaming at 4K at higher refresh rates than 60 Hz. Available for its C1 and G1 2021 OLED models beginning this week, firmware version 3.15.27 allows these displays to receive and process Dolby Vision signals at up to 4K 120 Hz, making them ideal for Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles—the first consoles in the world to support both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. LG will also be bringing its Dolby Vision 4K 120 Hz update to last year’s CX and GX OLED TVs at a later date.
