Square Enix released Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, the direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII-2, for the PC platform on December 10, 2015. Nearly six years later, Square Enix has surprised Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII fans by releasing a new patch for the game on Steam, which fixes a problem with its pink-haired heroine, Lightning. Apparently, Lightning’s voice didn’t play correctly in some scenes, but that has now been addressed. Square Enix may have decided to revisit Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII in preparation of its release on Microsoft’s popular game subscription service, Xbox Game Pass.

Trying to play IX on Gamepass was kind of a buggy mess and disappointing. Hopefully these games run better.
 
I've found a lot of things were pretty buggy on Gamepass, unfortunately. More than a couple of titles that just wouldn't run at all for whatever reason.
