Lionsgate Releases Official Trailer for Moonfall, a New Disaster Movie from the Director of Independence Day

Following a teaser and an extended look at the beginning of the movie, Lionsgate has shared the official full-length trailer for Moonfall, an upcoming science-fiction film that looks like a decent treat for fans of disaster flicks.



Directed by Roland Emmerich, the director behind classics such as Independence Day and Universal Soldier, Moonfall centers around a group of scientists who must figure out how to keep the Moon from hitting the Earth after it’s knocked from its orbit by a mysterious force. Teaser materials seem to suggest that the Moon might actually be an alien-made object.

*maybe spoilers? Is it really a spoiler when it's shown in the trailer? I dunno.

Initially I was intrigued.... Roland (used to anyway) makes good disaster movies. But halfway through the trailer when they switch from disaster to moon space aliens that look like the things from Prey or Control... I just turned it off.
