Lucasfilm has shared a first look at its upcoming Star Wars anime anthology series, Star Wars: Visions. Featuring the work of seven anime studios that include Ghost in the Shell’s Production I.G, Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: Visions comprises nine shorts, each of which will tell new and diverse stories that take place in the Star Wars universe. As shown in the special look, each of these shorts will feature a unique visual aesthetic and an original score. Star Wars: Visions will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on September 22, 2021.

Translation:
The creators are too lazy to familiarize themselves with the source material and don't give a frack anyways they just want to use it as a piggyback device.

You know what this doesn't look like? Star Wars. If you want to tell original stories tell them as their own thing, without polluting the star wars brand with it. Of course then you wouldn't get the brand recognition. This is like if tata started branding their cars as ferraris.
