A remastered version of Retro Studios’ beloved Metroid Prime: Trilogy for the Nintendo Switch has been heavily rumored for some years now. According to VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb, the game is actually complete and merely awaiting Nintendo’s go-ahead before it can be unveiled to Metroid fans who are interested in revisiting Samus’ first 3D adventures again on newer hardware. Speaking during this weekend’s Giant Bomb show, Grubb explained that Nintendo opted to delay the unveiling of its Metroid Prime: Trilogy remaster due to restricted QA resources during the pandemic. Its announcement is expected coincide closely with the release of Retro Studios’ next Metroid Prime game, Metroid Prime 4. Before those are released, Metroid fans can enjoy Metroid Dread, a platformer with 3D graphics launching for the Nintendo Switch on October 8, 2021...
