Micron announced today that its high-performance 16 Gb/16 Gbps GDDR6 memory is now available for AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics cards. Leveraging the company’s advanced 1z process technology, Micron’s GDDR6 memory offers up to 512 B/s bandwidth speeds in select RDNA 2 products such as the Radeon RX 6900 XT and Radeon RX 6800 XT.

LOL wut?

These cards are already "released". IIRC, the 6800/XT and 6900XT already have GDDR6 @ 16 Gb/sec, the lower models step down starting with the 6700XT @ 14 GB/sec.

Are the 6700XT and 6600/XT getting a refresh already?
 
Yea I don't understand this statement at all. The memory is ready for cards that are already out with GDDR6 memory? Or is this a FASTER memory for cards that had GDDR6?
