Microsoft has confirmed the pricing for Office 2021, the standalone version of the immensely popular productivity package for users who aren’t interested in being chained to a subscription.
Office Home and Student 2021, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Microsoft Teams for PC and Mac, will cost $149.99, while Office Home and Business 2021 will cost $249.99. The business edition is similar to the basic version but also includes Outlook, Microsoft’s email client, as well as the rights to use the apps for business purposes. Both products will be available starting on October 5, 2021.
Still, Microsoft would like to remind Office users that they can access the software via its subscription service, Microsoft 365, for a relatively low monthly or yearly cost. Per Microsoft:
