Microsoft has shared the official device requirements for running Android apps and games via Windows 11’s new Amazon Appstore preview, and they’re surprisingly more demanding than what one might have expected.
According to a support page, Windows 11 users who want to run mobile apps via the Amazon Appstore should be able to get away with 8 GB of system memory, but 16 GB of RAM—a relatively beefy amount that won’t be found even in the requirements for some of today’s most demanding games, such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2—is recommended for the ideal experience. These systems should also be equipped with at least an 8th Gen Intel Core i3, AMD Ryzen 3000, or Qualcomm Snapdragon 8c processor, as well as an SSD.
