But since I’m not aware of any huge increase in TSMC capacity - it means it comes at the expense of something else:

Probably Not Epyc - those are high margin
Probably not Custom SOC (consoles) - those are under contract

Maybe APUs
Probably GPUs

That's a much bigger problem, mostly because there's simply nowhere for AMD to go unless they pull a Skylake.

Perhaps they can 'massage' what they have to better support peak single-core performance, as well as work to better compete in mobile, but their biggest deficit is their GPU ecosystem.

CPUs are mostly just going to have to wait for DDR5 I think. Supposed to be a new socket too; perhaps they'll have USB4 figured out as well.
