An interview from Japan’s CGWORLD magazine (via Game’s Talk) has revealed that Monster Hunter World: Iceborne director Daisuke Ichihara has left Capcom for a company called ILCA (I Love Computer Art), which specializes in high-end 3DCG production. ILCA has been involved with some pretty big titles, such as Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, Dragon Quest XI, NieR: Automata, and Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV.
A statement provided by Ichihara suggests that he left Capcom on good terms, in that he saw ILCA as an opportunity to shape a new team (“Kyoto Studio”) with his 17 years of experience in the gaming industry...
