Panel Protect, one of the six features that MSI has implemented for OLED Care to combat burn-in on its premium gaming monitors, should be run every four hours if possible to help prevent image retention and maintain the health of the panel, MSI has advised in a new article that offers several essential tips on how customers can prevent burn-in on its QD-OLED displays, the current lineup of which includes the MPG 491CQP and MAG 321UPX.

That's interesting.

LG recommends you never run this more than once a year due to the panel wear it causes.

Edit:

To be clear, there is an automatic "light" pixel refresh that runs when you turn the LG C3 off every X hours of use (I forget the exact number).

The manually triggered pixel refresh on LG TV's - however - is much heavier, and that is the one they recommend not running more than annually, to avoid unnecessary panel wear.

I don't know how either of these compares to MSI's monitors. Maybe they don't have the light automatic one, and their manually triggered pixel refresh is the equivalent of the automatic one on LG TV's?
