MSI Releases Beta BIOS Enabling AMD Smart Access Memory for Ryzen 3000 Series Processors on 500 Series Motherboards

MSI has released a new AGESA beta BIOS for its lineup of AMD 500 Series motherboards. Version V2 1.2.0.1 allows MSI 500 Series motherboard users with Ryzen 3000 Series processors to try out red team’s new Smart Access Memory feature, which boosts performance by granting a CPU full access to a graphics card’s video memory. MSI’s new AGESA COMBO PI V2 1.2.0.1 beta BIOS also fixes an L3 cache performance issue with Ryzen 5000 Series processors.



“This feature requires pairing the AMD Radeon RX 6000 series graphics card with AMD RYZEN 5000/3000 series desktop processors,” MSI noted. “[…] don’t forget to update the graphics card driver to the latest version. After taking these steps, this feature will be online and ready to boost your gaming performance.”
