Bandai Namco has turned off the servers for multiple Dark Souls games following the discovery of an exploit that could allow hackers to run all sorts of nefarious code on players’ machines.



The exploit, which was originally brought to attention by players such as TripleBrownMeow on the r/Eldenring subreddit, is a Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability that affects Dark Souls III and, quite possibly, FromSoftware’s upcoming fantasy action RPG, Elden Ring. A tweet on the official Dark Souls Twitter account suggests that additional Dark Souls games might be affected as well.

I didn't even know these games had pvp, I thought they were single player games :unsure:
