Netflix has shared the first images for its live-action adaption of Cowboy Bebop, giving fans an early glimpse of what the new show looks like compared to its original, animated counterpart.



Cowboy Bebop is a hugely popular sci-fi, neo-noir anime centered around a group of bounty hunters (“cowboys”) that operate out of a converted interplanetary fishing ship called the Bebop.



The key members of the crew include ex-hitman and former Red Dragon Crime Syndicate member Spike Spiegel, former Inter-Solar System Police officer Jet Black, and Faye Valentine, a con artist who turns out to be much older than she looks.

I've never heard of Cowboy Bebop, but from the description it sounds like it might be similar to FireFly?

WTF? Is John Cho wearing blackface?

I don't think so. I'm guessing it is probably just the lighting.

I've heard about it, but that's just about it. I can't take anything seriously with a title like that.

If it was the lighting the girl would look dark as well. Either he has the tan of the century or he has some grease smeared all over his face.
