Netflix Confirms “Nightmare of the Wolf,” an Animated Film Based on “The Witcher” Series

Following the incredible success of The Witcher, Netflix is doubling down on the franchise with an original animated film called Nightmare of the Wolf, which will tie in with the main series. According to the project’s listing on the Writers Guild of America West’s website, Beau DeMayo (who wrote The Witcher’s third episode, “Betrayer Moon”) will pen the screenplay.



Netflix has confirmed the project on Twitter, describing it as an “anime film” that will “take us back to a new threat facing the Continent.” The Witcher showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich will be involved, and Studio Mir (the South Korean studio behind Nickelodeon’s Legend of Korra) is set to handle...

Meh... I don't care. If it's castlevania good I'll watch it. Otherwise... no real impact on me. Especially in regards to my computer.
 
I like Netflix taking an interest in mature anime. I've heard rumorings about Netflix pursuing the Berserk series - would love to see another series of movies based on the manga. I know there's a ongoing TV-series that follows events after the Eclipse (up to the acquisition of his berserker amor, iirc) but the animation quality was a bit poor (especially compared to the excellent animation of the films).
