Capcom’s unannounced Resident Evil 4 remake isn’t going to be a simple repaint of Shinji Mikami’s 2005 survival horror classic, according to a new report from former Game Informer editor Imran Khan, who has shared information from sources that suggest the retread will deviate from the original in a number of ways. One of the biggest regards the game’s tone; Capcom is supposedly aiming to give the RE4 remake a “spookier” atmosphere and feel, possibly going so far as to revive some of the art direction and other ideas that were teased in the earliest versions of the game. M-Two, the developer behind the RE4 remake, is also reportedly expanding Assignment: Ada and Separate Ways, the original’s two mini-games that allowed players to take on the role of other characters such as Ada Wong and Luis Sera.
