@momomo_us (via VideoCardz) has shared evidence that Intel’s 12th Gen Core processors (i.e., Alder Lake-S) will require a brand-new socket called LGA 1700. This is a bit of a “sky is blue, water is wet” moment, as blue team loves socket changes (profit!), but the discovery does lend credence to major alleged improvements such as PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 support.
