The Xbox Game Pass PC edition of Square Enix’s hit action role-playing game, NieR: Automata, represents one of the game subscription service’s more unique releases because it’s actually better than its Steam counterpart, which lacks the newer port’s borderless video settings, HDR support, 4K user interface textures, and AMD FidelityFX options. Following acts of review bombing from the fervent Steam community, the NieR Series’ official Twitter account has confirmed that Valve’s version of NieR: Automata is scheduled to receive an upgrade patch that will presumably put its feature set into parity with the Xbox Game Pass PC release. Square Enix hasn’t announced when this patch will be released, but it plans to share more information at a later date.
