Nintendo Releasing New Switch Console Early Next Year?

A new Switch model seems inevitable, but it could available sooner than you’d think.



According to Taiwanese press, which cites sources from within the supply chain, Nintendo will have an upgraded Switch for us “early next year.” We’re not sure if that’s actually happening (consider the fantastic sales of the current model, as well as President Shuntaro Furukawa’s lax attitude on the subject), but Switch owners could definitely benefit from more powerful hardware.

They cannot even manufacture enough of these to meet current demand, and they are coming out with a new one? Somebody at Nintendo needs to get slapped upside the head.

I'm not saying refreshing or upgrading a platform is a bad idea.... but might help to know your market. Eh what do I know.

Totally would be up for a cheaper than Lite, TV-only edition of the Switch. Would make a great kids console.
