NVIDIA Confirms That Its Next GPU Architecture Will Launch in 2022

NVIDIA’s next-generation GPU architectures will be unveiled in 2022 and 2024, respectively. This is according to a new data center road map that was shared by CEO Jensen Huang during today’s GTC 2021 key note, which confirm that green team’s “Ampere Next” and “Ampere Next Next” GPU products will follow a traditional two-year release cadence despite potential disruptions in the industry. Previous rumors would suggest that “Ampere Next” is a multi-GPU architecture code named “Hopper.”

With the exception of volta (which was basically a souped up pascal + tensor cores). Every nvidia architechture starts or ends up in consumer gaming cards.
