NVIDIA Enables Resizable BAR for GeForce RTX 30 Series Graphics Cards, Improving Performance by Up to 12 Percent

As part of today’s GeForce Game Ready 465.89 WHQL driver release, NVIDIA has enabled its performance-boosting PCI Express interface technology, Resizable BAR, for GeForce RTX 30 Series graphics cards. While users will require the proper VBIOS/motherboard SBIOS updates and a compatible CPU/motherboard to take advantage of the feature, NVIDIA’s benchmarks show that Resizable BAR is capable of improving performance in select titles such as Codemasters’ F1 2020 by as much as 11.9 percent.
