Valve has released the April 2023 edition of Steam's Hardware & Software Survey, and it seems to add fuel to the idea that some of its figures may not be entirely realistic. Over on the PC Video Card Usage Details page, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 somehow went from a 10.67% market share in March (when it ended up topping the GPU list) down to 4.66% for the month of April, relegating it to third place behind the GeForce GTX 1650 and GeForce GTX 1060, which are listed with 6.19% and 4.99% market share, respectively. Valve might have more insight on this somewhere, but many are suspecting that there was a glitch. Other notables include Windows usage among Steam users, with Windows 10 seemingly losing nearly 13% market share and Windows 11 gaining nearly 11%. Market share of 6-core CPUs also seemingly dropped by over 12%.
