NVIDIA Hit by Cyber Attack, Company’s Internal Systems “Completely Compromised”

Uh-oh, it doesn’t look like NVIDIA’s security “experts” will be getting any real sleep in the days ahead, as The Telegraph has shared a report revealing that green team has been hit with a major cyber attack that “completely compromised” the company’s internal systems, taking parts of its business offline for two days.



Here’s what an NVIDIA spokesman had to say about it: “We are investigating an incident. We don’t have any additional information to share at this time.”



Great, thanks. But according to The Telegraph’s report, which actually has some specifics, NVIDIA’s email systems and developer tools both suffered from outages over the last two days. A malicious network intrusion is to blame, sources say.



Of course, what everyone really wants to know is whether any data has been stolen from NVIDIA. Maybe we’ll be getting the specifications for the GeForce RTX...

Seriously, they never felt like a target before? This astounds me. My company, small in terms of how many engineering firms there are in the world, incredibly scared of hacking, and has junk in place that is super annoying.
But Nvidia.....
