NVIDIA Launches ICAT Application for Easy Creation of Video and Image Comparisons

NVIDIA has released a new program that aims to facilitate the creation of image and video comparisons for reviews and similar demonstrations. Dubbed ICAT (Image Comparison & Analysis Tool), the application was originally designed for internal use only but proved so useful that NVIDIA decided to make it available to everyone. Users can load up to four screenshots or videos and ICAT does a lot of the rest, such as dividing the media up into even portions.

NVIDIA ICAT allows users to easily compare up to 4 screenshots or videos with sliders, side-by-sides, and pixel peeping zoom-ins. Align comparisons spatially and temporally, examine the differences, and draw your conclusions. I just tried the application, this is very neat! It lets you import pictures or video, I love the interface, it's easy to use, and a great tool for comparing images or video on your own system to see the differences. The only feature I wish it had was a screenshot function to take a screenshot in a nice formatted way, of course, I'm guessing print screen will work, or sniping tool, but I still wish it had just a simple one-click screenshot/save file button.
