NVIDIA has released a firmware update tool for DisplayID to improve compatibility with monitors that utilize the ubiquitous VESA standard. The update appears to address an annoying issue that many GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and GeForce RTX 3060 owners have been experiencing, whereby the BIOS splash and boot-up sequence won’t appear on the display if the graphics cards are connected via DisplayPort rather than HDMI or DVI.
