NVIDIA has released GeForce Hotfix display driver version 460.97. The hotfix addresses a variety of issues, which include incorrect black levels when HDR is enabled. It isn’t clear to us whether this problem resulted in crushed shadow detail, grayish blacks, or both, but in any case, the issue has been resolved. The hotfix also reduces stuttering for Crystal Dynamics’ Avengers game for certain configurations.
