NVIDIA’s heavily rumored, next-generation graphics architecture, “Ampere,” appears to be a legitimate thing. The company is telling fans to “get amped” for its GTC 2020 keynote with CEO Jensen Huang, which will be uploaded on YouTube on May 14, at 6 a.m. Pacific time.
Ampere may actually be a Volta replacement that won’t be used in any GeForce gaming products, however. That’s because NVIDIA’s news announcement only mentions “breakthroughs in AI, deep learning, autonomous vehicles, robotics, and professional graphics.”
