Windows 11 version 24H2, the latest update to Microsoft's Windows NT operating system, should not be paired with some of Intel's older CPUs, including those belonging to the Coffee Lake, Coffee Lake Refresh, and Comet Lake generations, according to a list of "Windows 11 version 24H2 supported Intel processors" that Microsoft has published to its Learn site, one that specifically targets OEMs.

Because they suck, or they struck a deal with Intel behind the curtain, or they don't have some new required widget?
 
Honestly I think it's a specific move intended to help Intel that will in the end drive customers to AMD.
 
I would say there is a fine line between "Windows 11 stops support entirely" and "OEMs shouldn't build new SKUs with these"

This article seems to be pointing to the latter, not the former.
