AMD has released the official white paper RDNA Architecture on the NAVI cards!

Once upon a time, I may have taken the time to read and try to understand the information in such a document. Maybe if some things change in life (changes I really don't want or expect) I might get into it again.

I put that out there to give some context to my question. Is this mainly going to be high-level information, or could this whitepaper actually be used say for people working on open source drivers?

Basically it's more information at too high a level and not discussing actual API's for anyone writing code to interface with the card.

So to answer your question @jardows, no you can not write open source drivers using this information. Though it gives some forward looking statements about the RDNA/NAVI tech and where they want to go.
