Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a partnership with Discord that will presumably lead to some level of official integration between the popular messaging service and PlayStation Network. SIE President and CEO Jim Ryan confirmed the collaboration in a blog post today, which noted that Sony’s teams are currently hard at work on bringing Discord and PlayStation together to enable easier communication for console and mobile gamers starting early next year. Sony Interactive Entertainment has made a minority investment as part of Discord’s Series H round to cement the partnership.

There it is.. Playstation is buying into discord. Hope it is a good partnership.

A partnership is not a buyout or acquisition. The Microsoft saga was talks to acquire Discord. Discord probably thought this relationship with Sony was better than being acquired outright.

Right after talks with MS fell apart. Good timing, coincidence... or CONSPIRACY?

Xbox accounts already have official integration with Discord, and I know people been wanting the same for PSN accounts for a good while. Looks like it's finally happening.
