PS5-Exclusive Souls-Like Game Reportedly in Development by FromSoftware, Along with New WipEout

Xbox Era’s Nick “Shpeshal_Nick” Baker has shared a couple of new rumors that should make FromSoftware fans and older PlayStation gamers very happy.



According to Baker, From Software is working on a new Souls-like game that will presumably draw inspiration from Dark Souls and the rest of the Souls series. This game will be exclusive to PlayStation 5, which means that it should be a true next-gen title that better stresses the hardware of Sony’s latest console.



FromSoftware’s rumored Souls title is not a sequel to Bloodborne, however, so fans of that franchise will have to keep waiting.



Additionally, Baker claims that a new installment of Studio Liverpool’s classic futuristic anti-gravity racing franchise, WipEout, is in development. The new Wipeout title will reportedly be a PlayStation 5 title that...

Indeed. One of my favorite game series. I wasn't happy when Sony shut down Studio Liverpool/Psygnosis before console 8th-gen really started. 9th-gen needs a proper Wipeout game, since 8th-gen only got a repackage of Wipeout HD and Wipeout 2048 as the Omega Collection. I would also be down for a collection that packages the entire history of Wipeout games together, with maybe some light remastering of earlier ones.

So who the f*ck is developing this new Wipeout? Hopefully veteran devs that know the series well.

Not that this is related, but talking about Wipeout reminds me of my constant complaint that F-Zero's last game was in f*cking 2003.

EDIT: I forgot to write that I would like this new 9th-gen Wipeout game, and that collection I proposed, to be released on PC as well, thank you very much.
