Quake Remastered Has Been Rated for PC and Consoles

A leaked Quakecon 2021 event from last week suggested that id Software would be releasing a “revitalized” version of its classic 1996 FPS, Quake, in cooperation with Wolfenstein studio MachineGames. That appears to definitely be happening.



As spotted on the official ESRB site, a new Quake game was recently rated for the Windows PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series platforms. A separate rating from The Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea has also confirmed that the new Quake game is a remaster of some sort (“Quake Remastered”).



“This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of a soldier that travels through time to stop an evil force from destroying humanity,” ESRB’s rating summary reads.
