Razer has detailed its newest mouse, the Razer Naga Pro. What makes this guy special is its modular, three-in-one design that lets users swap between three different side-button configurations (there’s a 12-button, 6-button, and 2-button side plate). That means the mouse can cater to just about any type of game, from first-person shooters to shortcut-heavy MMORPGs.

The Razer Naga Pro features a 20K-DPI optical sensor for hyper-precise tracking, as well as the company’s exclusive Hyperspeed Wireless technology for faster-than-wired response. You can get your hands on one starting on September 3, 2020 for $149.99.

It's a cool idea, but I wish Logitech had thought of it. Razer products are great when they are new, but their quality isn't all that inspiring. Their mice develop clicking issues quickly and the finish on their mice show wear much faster than that of their competitors.

Would be cool if the button panels were OLED displays like it kinda indicates on the pic

Whatever happened to that keyboard that had OLED key caps?

That actually ended up getting released and I don't know how many were purchased, but it wasn't well received. Although, the OLED part was cool it apparently sucked to type on.

It would look cool, sure, But you're mashing these buttons with your thumb, you won't have time during gaming to lay your head on the desk so you can see what the little button pictures look like.

side topic - I don't know who really uses these for MMOs. It's really hard to keep track of exactly which button you're mashing with your thumb.

I have a Logitech G600 with similar (not modular like this) kind of multi button thumb layout. But I don't play MMOs, I used those buttons as WASD keys so I could play some games with one hand. I had severely sprained my left wrist and my hand/fingers were mostly unusable for keyboard duty for over a month. I wouldn't jump into a FPS with that, but it allowed me to play other stuff that normally would have required a keyboard or a gamepad. I played a lot of Outer Worlds, that was fairly manageable unless you got into a messy combat sitch. I actually got the idea from some youtube gamers who are disabled and use mice like these just to be able to play anything.
