I'm actually a bit curious as to how these sound.
The closed-back, 50mm driver formula is tried and true - and tuning varies widely. Tuning for games even more so, as 'competitive' gaming requires nearly the opposite frequency response (as a deviation from 'flat') that 'immersive' gaming does.
And there's plenty of overlap between the two. I'll bet that Razer has plenty of software customization to back these up, and perhaps per-game profiles or hot-key switchable profiles (or both?!?) to rock and roll with. One emphasizing a warmer, all-encompassing frequency response profile, and one tuned more for positional identification of things like footsteps and other in-game acoustic giveaways.
Of course the most important part beyond them sounding better than Amazon bargain-bin cans (including "studio monitoring" varieties) is the mic quality. Not sounding like you're speaking through a long metal pipe is a bonus here, but basic intelligibility will certainly due.
And lastly, comfort. Nothing sounds good if it hurts to wear.
